Daily life and customs: the present tense

Arabic present tense verbs show who is doing the action with a prefix at the front: أ for I, ن for we, ي for he.

My day

أَسْتَيْقِظُ (astayqiZu) = I wake up. أَتَناوَلُ الفُطور = I have breakfast. أَذْهَبُ إلى المَدْرَسة = I go to school.
أَرْجِعُ إلى البَيْت = I come back home. أَدْرُسُ = I study. أَنامُ = I sleep.
كُلَّ يَوْم every day, عادةً usually, أَحْيانًا sometimes, دائِمًا always, في الصَّباح in the morning, في المَساء in the evening.

The present tense of ذَهَبَ (to go)
