For parents and carers

GCSE-ready gives your child one short lesson a day for Key Stage 3, Pearson Edexcel GCSE or International GCSE. Here is how it works, what it costs and how we look after your child's data.

It is free

Every lesson is free and no payments are taken. There are no adverts, and we do not sell anyone's data. If paid plans are ever introduced, our terms and privacy policy will be updated before any payment is taken.

How a lesson works

  1. Learn: a few short screens of notes, a worked example and the key idea. Many lessons also have a short doodle video.
  2. Check: quick questions that mark themselves straight away.
  3. Fix: if an answer is wrong, the lesson explains the mistake and gives another go.
  4. Review: ideas your child found hard come back for review after 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30 days, so they stick.

Streaks, levels and badges reward steady daily practice rather than long cramming sessions.

See how your child is doing

The Parents tab in the app shows a weekly report: sessions completed, time spent, current streak, lessons mastered, the share of questions right first time, and the lessons that need more practice. You can copy it as text or save it as a printable page.

Saving progress

Your child can start without an account. Progress is then saved in the browser on that device. Creating a free account, with Google or with an email and password, saves progress and the streak across devices. If your child is under 13, please help them decide whether to create an account.

Privacy and safety

Full details are in our privacy policy.

What the lessons cover

The lessons follow the published Pearson Edexcel GCSE and International GCSE specifications and the Key Stage 3 National Curriculum. GCSE-ready is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Pearson. You can browse every lesson by subject before your child starts.
