The conditional: would

The conditional says what would happen. It uses the same stems as the future. Foundation needs the singular forms; plural forms are Higher.
Formation
Infinitive + -ía, -ías, -ía (Higher plural: -íamos, -íais, -ían).
hablaría (I would speak), comerías (you would eat), viviría (he / she would live).

Irregular stems
Same as the future: tendría, haría, podría, pondría. habría = there would be.
Higher also: sabría, querría, vendría, diría, saldría.

Using it
Me gustaría... (I would like). Sería maravilloso. (It would be wonderful.)
Advice with deber: Deberías dormir más. (You should sleep more.)
Polite requests: ¿Podría ayudarme? (Could you help me?)

Translate: I would travel round the world.
- would travel = viajar + ía = viajaría
- round the world = por todo el mundo
Answer: Viajaría por todo el mundo.
Conditional = infinitive (or future stem) + ía. Me gustaría, sería, podría, deberías. Habría = there would be.
