Say what is the best, the worst or the most, use phrases like lo bueno, and make adjectives stronger with -ísimo.
Superlatives
el / la / los / las (+ noun) + más / menos + adjective + de
Es la ciudad más bonita de España. (Use de for 'in'.)
Irregular: el mejor, la mejor, los mejores (the best), el peor (the worst), el mayor, el menor.
Es el mejor día de mi vida.

Lo + adjective
lo bueno = the good thing, lo malo = the bad thing, lo mejor = the best thing, lo peor = the worst thing, lo más importante = the most important thing.
Lo bueno es que hay mucho que hacer. Lo malo es que es caro.

-ísimo
-ísimo means very or extremely. Drop the final vowel and add -ísimo, which agrees: guapísima, buenísimos.
Spelling changes: rico: riquísimo, fácil: facilísimo.

Translate: My best friend is the tallest in the class.
- my best friend = mi mejor amigo
- the tallest = el más alto
- in the class = de la clase (de, not en)
Answer: Mi mejor amigo es el más alto de la clase.
El / la + más + adjective + de = the most ... in. El mejor, el peor. Lo bueno / lo malo es que... -ísimo = very, and it agrees.
