Useful verbs

comer (comĂ), beber (bebĂ), salir (salĂ), escribir (escribĂ), volver (to return: volvĂ), aprender (aprendĂ), conocer (to meet: conocĂ)
ver is regular but has no accents: vi, viste, vio, vimos, visteis, vieron.
Vi una pelĂcula. = I saw a film.

Putting it together

Anoche salĂ con mis amigos. Comimos en un restaurante y vimos una pelĂcula.
= Last night I went out with my friends. We ate in a restaurant and we watched a film.
Notice that comimos and vimos look the same as the present: the time phrase anoche shows they are past.

  1. Last night: anoche.
  2. I ate: comĂ.
