The perfect tense: he visitado

The perfect tense says what you have done. In Spain it is also used for things that happened earlier today.
How it is made
haber (present) + past participle.
When to use it
For what you have done, often with ya (already), nunca (never), todavía no (not yet):
¿Has visitado Madrid? = Have you visited Madrid? Nunca he comido paella. = I have never eaten paella.
In Spain, for things that happened today or this week: Esta mañana he desayunado cereales.
For finished times like ayer or el año pasado, use the preterite.

Irregular past participles
Translate: This morning I have done my homework.
- This morning: esta mañana.
- I have: he.
- done: hecho (irregular). My homework: los deberes.
Answer: Esta mañana he hecho los deberes.
Perfect tense = he, has, ha, hemos, habéis, han + participle (-ado / -ido). Irregulars: hecho, visto, escrito, puesto, vuelto, roto, dicho, abierto. Use it for have done, and in Spain for today.
