Talk about sport and hobbies, use jugar and hacer correctly, and use verbs that work like gustar.
Jugar, hacer and practicar
jugar a + game or sport: juego al fútbol, al baloncesto, al tenis (a + el = al).
Jugar is stem-changing: juego, juegas, juega, jugamos, jugáis, juegan.
hacer + activity: hago natación, hago ejercicio (exercise), hago deporte.
practicar works with most sports: practico el ciclismo.

Verbs like gustar
The thing you like is the subject, so the verb agrees with it.
Me encanta bailar. (I love dancing) Me interesa el deporte. Me interesan los deportes.
Pronouns: me, te, le, nos, os, les.
A mi hermano le encanta el ciclismo. A mis padres les gusta el tenis.

How often
siempre (always), a menudo (often), a veces (sometimes), de vez en cuando (from time to time), nunca (never).
los fines de semana (at weekends), dos veces a la semana (twice a week).

Translate: My brother loves basketball.
- Loves = encantar, which works like gustar.
- To my brother = a mi hermano, then le.
- El baloncesto is singular, so encanta.
Answer: A mi hermano le encanta el baloncesto.
Jugar a for games (juego al tenis), hacer for activities (hago natación). Encantar and interesar work like gustar: le encanta + singular, les encantan + plural.
