Spanish adjectives agree with the person they describe, changing for masculine, feminine and plural.
Family words
el padre (father), la madre (mother), el hermano (brother), la hermana (sister), los padres (parents), el abuelo (grandfather), la abuela (grandmother).
My: mi and mis
mi with one person or thing: mi madre, mi hermano.
mis with more than one: mis padres, mis hermanas.
mis with more than one: mis padres, mis hermanas.
Adjective agreement
Adjectives ending in -o change to -a for feminine: alto, alta.
Add -s for plural: altos, altas.
Adjectives ending in -e stay the same for masculine and feminine: alegre (cheerful).
Adjectives usually come after the noun: un perro negro.

Translate: My sister is tall and funny.
- My sister = mi hermana
- tall: alto becomes alta.
- funny: divertido becomes divertida.
Answer: Mi hermana es alta y divertida.
Mi for one, mis for more than one. Adjectives: -o becomes -a for feminine, add -s for plural; -e adjectives do not change for gender.
