The conditional says what you would do. It is perfect for your dream job and ambitions.
Ambition phrases
Je voudrais ... = I would like ... (all students should know this).
J'aimerais ... = I would like ...
mon métier idéal (my ideal job), aider les autres (to help others), voyager (to travel), bien payé (well paid), travailler à l'étranger (to work abroad).

Forming the conditional
Use the future stem + the imperfect endings.
Irregular stems
aller → j'irais, avoir → j'aurais, être → je serais, faire → je ferais.
Ce serait génial. = It would be great.
Il ferait une formation. = He would do an apprenticeship.
Ce serait génial. = It would be great.
Il ferait une formation. = He would do an apprenticeship.
Translate: My ideal job would be a doctor because I would like to help others.
- Would be: serait.
- I would like: j'aimerais.
- No article before the job.
Answer: Mon métier idéal serait médecin parce que j'aimerais aider les autres.
Conditional = future stem + -ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient. J'aimerais, je voudrais, ce serait, je ferais, j'irais, j'aurais.
