Me gusta and me gustan
Me gusta + one thing: Me gusta el inglés.
Me gustan + plural things: Me gustan las ciencias.
The same with me encanta / me encantan (I love). Negative: No me gusta(n). Odio = I hate.
Keep the article: Me gusta la historia.

Reasons
porque = because. Use es (singular) or son (plural) + adjective:
interesante, fácil, difícil, útil (useful), aburrido (boring), divertido (fun), genial (great)
The adjective agrees: La historia es interesante. Las matemáticas son aburridas.
El profesor es simpático. = The teacher is nice.

Translate: I love science because it is interesting.
- I love: me encantan (ciencias is plural).
- science: las ciencias.
- because it is interesting: porque son interesantes (plural).
Answer: Me encantan las ciencias porque son interesantes.
Me gusta / me encanta + singular, me gustan / me encantan + plural; keep the article. Give a reason: porque es (singular) / son (plural) + adjective that agrees.
