Talking about uniform
Llevo una camisa blanca y una corbata azul.
Opinions: Creo que el uniforme es cómodo / incómodo / práctico / feo. (El uniforme is masculine, so the adjectives are too.)
No me gusta llevar uniforme porque es incómodo.
Translate: At my school we wear a white shirt, a red tie and grey trousers.
- At my school we wear: en mi instituto llevamos.
- a white shirt: una camisa blanca (feminine, colour after).
- a red tie: una corbata roja (feminine).
- grey trousers: unos pantalones grises (masculine plural).
Answer: En mi instituto llevamos una camisa blanca, una corbata roja y unos pantalones grises.
Llevar = to wear. Colours come after the noun and agree: blanco / blanca / blancos / blancas; verde, azul, gris and marrón only change for plural (verdes, azules, grises, marrones).
- Not “una blanca camisa”. The colour goes after the noun.
- Not “una camisa blanco”. Blanco must agree with camisa (feminine).
