After -ar verbs, learn the other two groups: -er and -ir verbs. They share most of their endings.
The patterns
Useful verbs
-er: beber (to drink), leer (to read), aprender (to learn), comprender (to understand), correr (to run), vender (to sell)
-ir: escribir (to write), abrir (to open), compartir (to share), subir (to go up)

Irregular yo forms
Some verbs are regular except for yo:
hacer: hago (I do / make) salir: salgo (I go out) poner: pongo (I put) ver: veo (I see / watch) tener: tengo (I have)
Salgo con mis amigos y vemos una película.
hacer: hago (I do / make) salir: salgo (I go out) poner: pongo (I put) ver: veo (I see / watch) tener: tengo (I have)
Salgo con mis amigos y vemos una película.
Translate: We live in Leeds and we eat in the kitchen.
- We live: vivimos (-ir, nosotros).
- in Leeds: en Leeds.
- we eat: comemos (-er, nosotros). In the kitchen: en la cocina.
Answer: Vivimos en Leeds y comemos en la cocina.
-er: -o, -es, -e, -emos, -éis, -en. -ir: -o, -es, -e, -imos, -ís, -en. Irregular yo forms: hago, salgo, pongo, veo, tengo.
