Describe the weather in different tenses and talk about seasons and climate.

Hace + noun: hace calor (hot), hace frío (cold), hace sol (sunny), hace viento (windy), hace buen / mal tiempo.
llueve (it rains), nieva (it snows), hay niebla (it's foggy), hay tormenta (there's a storm), está nublado (it's cloudy).

Other tenses
Past: Ayer llovió. Hizo sol. (preterite) Cuando era pequeño, hacía frío. (imperfect)
Future: Mañana va a llover. Mañana hará calor.

Seasons and climate
la primavera (spring), el verano (summer), el otoño (autumn), el invierno (winter).
el clima = climate, los grados = degrees: Hace veinte grados.
En el norte de España llueve mucho; en el sur hace más calor.

Translate: Yesterday it rained but today it is sunny.
- yesterday it rained: preterite of llover = llovió
- today it is sunny = hoy hace sol
Answer: Ayer llovió pero hoy hace sol.
Hace calor / frío / sol / viento; llueve, nieva; está nublado. Past: hizo, llovió (event) or hacía (description). Future: va a llover, hará.
