Say where you go on holiday, how you travel and who with. The word for "to" or "in" depends on the place.
To or in a place
Transport
en + vehicle you sit inside: en voiture (car), en train, en avion (plane), en bus, en car (coach), en bateau (boat).
à for things you go on or with your feet: à pied (on foot), à vélo (by bike).
Je vais en Espagne en avion. = I go to Spain by plane.

Je vais en vacances avec ma famille. = I go on holiday with my family.
Je reste dans un hôtel / un camping / chez mes grands-parents. = I stay in a hotel / at a campsite / at my grandparents'.

Translate: I go to Portugal by car with my family.
- to Portugal: au Portugal (masculine).
- by car: en voiture.
- with my family: avec ma famille.
Answer: Je vais au Portugal en voiture avec ma famille.
à + town; en + feminine country; au + masculine country; aux + plural country. En voiture, en train, en avion, but à pied and à vélo.
