Three time frames
Time phrases are your clues
Past: ayer, anoche, el año pasado, hace dos días.
Present: hoy, normalmente, generalmente, todos los días.
Future: mañana, esta tarde, la semana que viene, el año que viene.

Building a strong answer
Normalmente voy al instituto a pie. Ayer fui en autobús porque llovió. Mañana voy a ir en bici.
This uses present, preterite and near future, plus a reason.
Check: accents on the preterite (-é, -ó)? An a after ir?

Translate: Usually I eat at home, yesterday I ate at a restaurant and tomorrow I am going to eat at my friend's house.
- Usually I eat: normalmente como.
- Yesterday I ate: ayer comí.
- Tomorrow I am going to eat: mañana voy a comer.
- at my friend's house: en casa de mi amigo.
Answer: Normalmente como en casa, ayer comí en un restaurante y mañana voy a comer en casa de mi amigo.
Past = preterite (jugué, comí, fui); present = present tense (juego); future = ir + a + infinitive (voy a jugar). Time phrases signal which to use.
