Describe your morning and evening routine. Many routine verbs are reflexive: they have an extra pronoun meaning myself, yourself and so on.
Reflexive pronouns
Routine verbs
je me rÊveille (I wake up), je me lève (I get up), je me douche (I have a shower), je m'habille (I get dressed), je me brosse les dents (I brush my teeth), je me couche (I go to bed)
Not reflexive: je prends le petit-dĂŠjeuner (I have breakfast), je quitte la maison (I leave the house).

Sequencing and negatives
d'abord (first), ensuite / puis (then), après (afterwards), enfin (finally)
D'abord, je me lève à sept heures. Ensuite, je me douche.
In the negative, ne goes before the reflexive pronoun: Je ne me lève pas tôt le dimanche.

Translate: First I get up at seven o'clock, then I get dressed.
- First: d'abord.
- I get up: je me lève. At seven: à sept heures.
- then I get dressed: ensuite je m'habille.
Answer: D'abord, je me lève à sept heures, ensuite je m'habille.
Reflexive verbs use me, te, se, nous, vous, se before the verb (m' before a vowel). Je me lève, je me douche, je m'habille, je me couche. Negative: je ne me lève pas.
